about

Cluck Old Hen is a traditional American fiddle and banjo tune with its origins dating back to the late 19th century. It appeared first in a publication in 1886, but it is likely older. It was originally a work song for railroad workers as you can gather from the lyrics ("she lay eggs for the railroad men").
